Xmas Crackers

Puzzle Post have come to the rescue of board game enthusiasts looking for some crackers to pull at this year's Christmas dinner. Instead of paper hats, dreadful pun-inspired jokes and silly tiny throwaway toys, the crackers from Puzzle Post come with paper hats, jokes and the components to let you recreate your own family version of three popular UK TV shows...

For those who haven't seen it, Taskmaster is a comedy game show on Channel 4 where presenters Alex Horne and Greg Davies set a series of tasks and challenges for various celebrity contestants. The Taskmaster cracker set comprises six crackers, each containing a trio of tasks - all set by Alex Horne - including one that is kept secret from the other players. And the box contains a batch of extra tasks so you aren't limited to just six players. To add to the fun, the box even includes a cardboard trophy that can be awarded to the winner.

House of Games is a celebrity quiz show produced by Banijay UK Productions/Remarkable Entertainment and broadcast on BBC2. It is presented by Richard Osman and runs over multiple rounds. The six crackers in the House of Games set mirror the TV quiz with questions over seven rounds, and again there's a cardboard trophy that can be claimed by the winner.

The Traitors is a reality TV show that originated in the Netherlands, created by All3Media/IDTV. The UK version is presented by Claudia Winkleman on BBC1 and a US version is presented by Alan Cumming, but there are versions of the show broadcast in around 30 countries around the world. It's a hidden role show where some of the players are allocated roles as 'Faithful' and others as 'Traitors'; the Traitors 'murder' the Faithful and the Faithful need to work out who are the Traitors and then banish them. Experienced gamers will of course recognise the concept as being an adaptation of the familiar board game Werewolf but it's The Traitors TV series that has brought the hidden role game to a broader audience. Along with six crackers, this set includes mission cards, 'armoury cards' and role cards for up to 10 players. This particular set also calls for internet access.

Any of these cracker boxes will add fun and games to your Christmas dinner. Click here to order them direct from Puzzle Post.
