Published by Long Tail, each Tiny Library box claims to offer more than 50 role-playing games (RPGs). It's a bold claim for such a slim box, so what's inside?
Each of the Tiny Library boxes contains a deck of double-sided business card-sized cards. Each offers the rules for a mini game. For most you'll need to organise dice and probably a pencil and paper. The games on each card cover a very wide variation. Several are solitaire games and some are indeed multi-player RPGs. All of the games fit onto just two sides of a business card so obviously we aren't talking Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition here. To be honest, there are some cards in the deck that barely qualify as games - mere fleeting activities - and there are a few cards that are best used as ideas or twists to incorporate into other games, but each pack includes several simple very playable RPGs with which you and your friends can happily while away an hour or two.
The Tiny Library boxes make ideal travel companions. You can slip a box into your pocket, or as you work your way through the deck you will find games you particularly enjoy and you can keep those cards in your wallet.
