Path Path Logic

Like Traffic Logic, Path Path Logic is part of the Sologic series of solitaire logic puzzles from Djeco. The challenge in Path Path Logic is to create, on a 5 x 5 grid, the corresponding coloured paths that link the four pairs of animals.

It sounds super simple, and it is - at least on the earliest of the 40 numbered challenges... The first challenge cards show you all the tiles you need to use but as you work through the cards the challenges become tougher and you'll need to determine for yourself which path tiles to use. All the cards specify the starting positions of the animals but as the challenges increase the starting information becomes less specific: whereas the starter cards show which direction each animal faces, later cards just show the animals and it's up to you to decide their orientation. And for the toughest challenges, you're just shown the positions in the grid that have animal tiles but you need to use logic to work out which specific animal goes in which spot. For all the puzzles, author Yoann Levet assures us that's there's just a single solution, and all the solutions are given at the back of the rulebook.

The theme helps to make this particular puzzle game particularly appealing to children. Quite young children will be able to tackle the easier puzzles but the tougher puzzles will leave many adults scratching their heads.

And like the other games in Djeco's Sologic series, you can play competitively by timing how long it takes you to find your solution and comparing your best time with that of another player tackling the same puzzle.
