Mish Match from Saar Shai and Alicia Zur-Spiro is a super light Snap!-type children's game where the 2-8 players are racing to be the first to spot a specific characteristic in common between cards that are flipped over. The game is published by The Op.
One player names a characteristic (animal, colour, food, or mood) and cards are flipped until one player spots a match of that characteristic and slaps the card. Spotting matches between colours and animals is especially easy, so accessible for play by younger children than the age 8+ indicated on the box, but it can be harder to quickly identify the foods and distinguishing the moods portrayed on the cards can be quite challenging for younger players. That said, you can easily adapt the game for younger children by just looking for, say, colour matches. The rules include some other small variants; for example, some of the animals wear hats and an easy variant lets you claim these cards by simply calling out 'hat!' when you spot it.
We like the colourful quirky art but we had some reservations about the card quality: with players slapping and potentially grabbing at the cards, you must expect them to take some wear so we'd have preferred it if the cards had been a tad more sturdy.
