Designed by Shun and Aya Taguchi, with art by Tansun Inc., Dinky Dungeon is a light filler-length fantasy-themed card game published by Jelly Jelly Games, where the 2-4 players are racing to be the first to collect a target value of dungeon treasure cards (16-20, depending on player count).
This is a micro game using 18 adventurer cards. Players have one adventurer card in hand and on your turn you draft a card from the face-up display of four cards. You then play for its effect either the card you drew or the card you had in hand. Simple.
Most adventurer cards let you draw dungeon cards that will have a hidden value of 1-4, albeit that there are a lot more lower value cards than 3 and 4 point cards. Other players will be able to see how many dungeon cards their rivals have collected but they won't know their values: a player with four dungeon cards might have a total of just 4 points but they could potentially have a total of 14, so could be close to victory... Several adventurer cards have 'take that' effects, including stealing cards from other players.
The net result is a joyously chaotic game that plays comfortably in just 10 minutes. For sure, it's largely a game of luck but it makes for a fast, fun fantasy-themed filler.
